Some ideas from our experiences...

I try to be respectful and consistent when feeding my child, accept there will be some food waste, and develop trust so food that is offered may be more readily accepted.   Most importantly I need to be happy with doing my best because some days, if my son is really stressed, variety goes out the window and a lot of weetbix is consumed.  And that's ok because weetbix is comforting and predictable.  It is just food after all, and nowadays with all the media about food, feeding children can be overwhelming and guilt-ridden. I am writing about our approach, and what works for us - emotionally and practically - may not for other families, and that’s ok too.
